ABC’s of Malpractice from California to Kentucky
California law is very different than Kentucky law in almost all areas of practice. However, California and Kentucky lawyers share two similarities: 1) lawyers owe certain ethical duties to their clients; and 2) clients and other parties can and will sue lawyers for breaching those ethical duties and for legal malpractice. This session will address what practice areas generate the most legal malpractice claims, as well as the risks involved for generating a malpractice claim as a result of the nature of the legal task being performed and/or the stage in the case or corporate transaction.
